Through improvisation and a minimalistic presentation, it creates sound bridges between Byzantine, traditional, and contemporary music, offering a unique musical dialogue on stage with reimagined traditional and original compositions.
Trio Nothias
Trio Nothias is a musical journey without borders, where tradition meets creativity.
Rooted in Cretan music with influences from the Aegean, Asia Minor, the Balkans, and the Eastern Mediterranean, it blends the lyra, laouto, ney, oud, guitar, and percussion into a captivating sonic narrative.
In the musical performance “Cretan Duet” Ilias and Dimitris Vlamakis will present selected songs and melodies from the rich repertoire of Cretan music.
With an authentic sound and deep musical expression, they will take you on a journey through tradition and improvisation.

Their musical journey is defined by continuous study of Cretan and traditional music, with a creative spirit and deep respect for tradition. Through the lyra, laouto, and other traditional instruments, they explore new interpretative approaches, blending authentic sound with contemporary elements.
